🌟✨ What an incredible year at The Blue Market! 🎉 Here’s a recap of our highlights from 2024!

We were thrilled to host the NTMF Young Traders Market for the first time, and we can’t wait for more Young Traders Market events starting March 2025! 🛍️

Our free events brought the community together with amazing experiences like the Castellers of London, Okinawa Day, Biscuit Day, and our Winter Fair activities (even though we had to cancel the market due to the storm). 🌧️

Thanks to funding from ReLondon, we also held free environmental events to raise awareness about reducing waste and promoting better practices. 🌍 This included our Greening The Blue activities, featuring bike days, a swap shop, and a toy collection initiative that encouraged sustainable practices within our community.

We expanded our support for traders with more training sessions for both new and current vendors, helping them thrive in our market!

A huge thank you to all our regular and guest traders for making 2024 so special! 🙌

We’re excited for 2025, with more traders, longer trading hours, and even more free events and themed markets on the horizon! 🎊 See you all soon! 💙

We understand this is not ideal and we want to ensure families still enjoy a day out if you wish to join us!

WREATH-MAKING WORKSHOP (12pm – 4pm) / Relocated inside Big Local Works

Our skilled Art Elves will show you how to weave willow and decorate your wreath. Choose from holly, ivy, and a variety of seasonal greens, as well as colourful ribbons, beads, and bells. Take your wreath home or hang it in The Market Place for all to see.

CUSTARD STORM CIRCUS AND ROAMING FATHER CHRISTMAS (12 – 4pm)
Performing in the square and The Blue Market library

Featuring stilt walking, juggling, a roaming magician, and free face painting! Learn circus skills to impress your friends with our talented Custard Storm performers.

Our very own Father Christmas will be roaming The Blue Market Place all afternoon, greeting young and old.

CHRISTMAS CAROLS (12.30pm) performing in the square
Experience a live performance of traditional Christmas music.

ROUEL ROAD TRA CHRISTMAS PARTY (Under market canopy)
Rouel Road TRA and Baxter Party Services will be playing seasonal music and taking DJ requests throughout the afternoon.

Everyone is welcome to join in and compete for fun prizes in games like pass the parcel, limbo, and dance-offs.

There will also be sweet treats and seasonal surprises for families!

Reuse and Recycle Family Workshop

We regret to inform you that the Christmas market stalls have been cancelled due to the impact of strong winds on the gazebos. The safety of our vendors and visitors is our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding in this matter.

However, we are pleased to announce that the scheduled free family activities from 12 noon to 4 pm will still go ahead! We have relocated these activities to safer spaces within the square to ensure everyone can enjoy a festive experience.

We are committed to supporting families in the area, and while we cannot offer a Christmas market this year, we invite you to join us for workshops, circus skills, and other exciting free activities taking place inside Big Local Works, The Blue Anchor Library, and covered areas in the market.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to celebrating the holiday season with you in a safe and enjoyable environment.
