Let’s celebrate Christmas at The Blue Market with a series of free festive activities for all the family. Starting with our popular Winter Fair thanks to the support of Blue Bermondsey BID and followed by two more Saturdays of Christmas inspired workshops to create your own decoration.

On Saturday 2nd December 2023, come and join us for a fantastic festive celebration with plenty of entertainment, free activities and market stalls to shop for Christmas gifts.
There’ll be festive music and street entertainment while you catch up on your Christmas shopping or enjoy a coffee or hot chocolate in our cafes.
Activities
From 12pm our friends at Custard Storm Productions will bring us stilt walking, juggling, roaming magic, face painting and children’s family show
Young and old can join our artist Sarah Sparkes and help her to make seasonal shapes from colourful textiles and ribbon for families to decorate and hang from the trees and architecture of The Market Place. Our artist elves will be guiding you to create beautiful decoration in our craft workshop.
Music
12.30pm St James Church Choir will be performing in the square
1.30pm Stephen Howgego Opera Singer is back for another fantastic show of festive songs.
Father Christmas
Our very own Father Christmas will be entertaining children and offering small toys courtesy of Games Club UK stall.
Shopping
Christmas Trees on Sale at Betty’s Flowers and market stalls selling gifts ideas.

Join us for this family workshop and make your own Christmas wreath in The Blue Market to take with you.
A relaxing festive experience for all the family filled with seasonal joy and craftsmanship. Our skilled art elves will show you how to weave willow and then decorate your wreath, choose from holly, ivy and a variety of seasonal greens as well was colourful ribbons, beads and sparkly ornaments. All free and all ages and abilities are welcome to join this drop in workshop. Create cherished family memories this holiday season in The Blue Market Place.

Decorate your own Yuletide treats and make treasures to put under the tree for family and friends.
Free activities for all ages with seasonal surprises to make, decorate and take home. With Christmas nearly here, this is your chance to make some last minute gifts and treats with our artist elves Frog Morris and Sarah Sparkes. It’s the perfect opportunity to get together, get creative and share the excitement as we prepare for the big Christmas celebrations. There will also be an array of gifts and seasonal delicacies for sale in The Blue Market Place. All free, all welcome and on your doorstep.
